Linocut cards & wrapping Workshop

Tuesday Sept 20th, 2016 10am – 3.30pm,

Using linocut, print your own design onto cotton rag paper to create beautiful greeting cards that reflect your your own style. Perfect for Christmas, birthdays or Ramadan. We’ll also be making a sheet of matching wrapping paper using the same block.

Learn to transfer your design to the lino block, cut and then print it. Your single coloured prints can later be hand coloured or embellished with thread once they are dry. Small class of 10 suitable for beginners or more advanced, aged 12-112. We will be working on Green/blue lino using water based printing inks in different colours.We will print on a variety of papers and some fabric. Great for students, workshop notes provided. A Neerim Bower Festival Event.

What to Bring: BYO Linocut Tools, bring along an idea or start from scratch. Sketchbook for designing. This is also useful for taking your (hopefully) dry cards home. Grey lead pencil 2B, eraser, ballpoint pen, scissors. Bring any special paper/material if you like. BYO Lunch (Tea, coffee provided throughout the day)
