Thanks for visiting me at the market today I was e Thanks for visiting me at the market today I was excited to see old friends and wish them a Happy New Year. Meeting new people was also amazing — thankyou for your interest in my linocut prints. I’m resting this afternoon after experiencing the massive wind gusts that battered the tent wall. I’ll unpack the car later... off for a little snooze
Can anyone tell me how we are midway through Janua Can anyone tell me how we are midway through January already?! Jan used to be so elastic and cruisie — But enough reminiscing , time is a-wastin’🥰 ....at tomorrow’s Warragul Arts Market my linocut calendars will be available if you need to get organised. A brilliant new linocut for each month, a large clear grid with easy-to-write-on squares for all your activities. And if you live too far away from Warragul, they are still in my webshop, link in bio, with free shipping in Aus
As I unpack here is a quick photo of ‘Genoa Peak As I unpack here is a quick photo of ‘Genoa Peak’, one of the framed linocut prints I collected from the Phillip Island exhibition. Happily two works sold and will stay at their respective new homes on the Island - thankyou to Jan who purchased the echidna linocut and @jwhowe who gave the Hummingbird linocut a new home.

The place depicted in this linocut is Genoa Peak in Far East Gippsland —a very special place to me. I’ve no doubt it held significance for the indigenous people of the area. It’s on the edge of Croajingalong National Park close to where I lived after leaving home in my early 20s. I climbed the peak many times never tiring of scaling the weathered pink granite, discovering the rock orchids that somehow survived there and marvelling at the way trees grew from fissures in the rock. I’ve not yet seen the devastation of the fires in this area. If covid allows we plan to visit in autumn.
Looking forward to this market. Pop the date on yo Looking forward to this market. Pop the date on your calendar... and if you don’t have one for 2021 yet I’ll have my linocut wall calendars available on my stall 🙂
(They are also in my shop, link in bio with free postage in Aus)

An exciting collaboration: My linocut, “I want to read but there are pom poms in my head” has been artfully animated by John McGeoch in this short film. Voice by my daughter Alice Grant.
