A pair of Australian pigeons show off their plucky crests. It’s easy to believe these stocky, punkish avians are a species distantly related to dinosaurs. This linocut is an illustration from Bird Speak by Wally Marek and the title “Crested Pigeons meet a distant relative” comes from his writing.
