Meet the Crested Pigeons

A pair of Australian pigeons show off their plucky crests. It’s easy to believe these stocky, punkish avians are a species distantly related to dinosaurs. Back in print at last!

  Red Wattlebirds are the second largest member of the Australian honeyeater family. An unmusical bird with calls including raucous coughs, a harsh ‘yac a yac’ and a loud ‘chok’.
